Cookies

Some of our web pages use cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain any viruses. Cookies help make our website more user-friendly, efficient, and secure. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies." They are automatically deleted after your visit. Other cookies remain in your device's memory until you delete them. These cookies make it possible to recognize your browser when you next visit the site.

You can configure your browser to inform you about the use of cookies so that you can decide on a case-by-case basis whether to accept or reject a cookie. Alternatively, your browser can be configured to automatically accept cookies under certain conditions or to always reject them, or to automatically delete cookies when closing your browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

Cookies which are necessary to allow electronic communications or to provide certain functions you wish to use (such as the shopping cart) are stored pursuant to Art. 6 paragraph 1, letter f of DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure an optimized service provided free of technical errors. Any mandatory statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.

4. Analytics and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service. It is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of the use of the website by you. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

Google Analytics cookies are stored based on Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior to optimize both its website and its advertising.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization feature on this website. Your IP address will be shortened by Google within the European Union or other parties to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to transmission to the United States. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the US and shortened there. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services regarding website activity and Internet usage for the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with any other data held by Google.

Browser plugin

You can prevent these cookies being stored by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser. However, we wish to point out that doing so may mean you will not be able to enjoy the full functionality of this website. You can also prevent the data generated by cookies about your use of the website (incl. your IP address) from being passed to Google, and the processing of these data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en.

Objecting to the collection of data

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set to prevent your data from being collected on future visits to this site: Disable Google Analytics.

For more information about how Google Analytics handles user data, see Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en.

Outsourced data processing

We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with Google as Processor for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Demographic data collection by Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics' demographic features. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google and third-party visitor data. This collected data cannot be attributed to any specific individual person. You can disable this feature at any time by adjusting the ads settings in your Google account or you can forbid the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Refusal of data collection".

5. Plugins and tools

In order to increase the protection of your data when visiting our website, certain plugins and tools from third-party providers, that maintain data connections in countries that do not have a level of data protection equivalent to that in the EU (so-called unsafe third countries, e.g., the United States of America), can also be integrated into the website by means of a so-called "2-click solution".

With such plugins and tools stated above, there is a particular risk that your data will be processed by (security-) authorities of the third countries for control and monitoring purposes - possibly without the availability of legal remedies. In addition, it is possible that the third-party provider may store your accesses and analyze your behavior.

The integration of a “2-click solution” ensures that no data will be forwarded to third-party providers when you visit a page of our website that contains such tools and plugins, until you explicitly activate the tools and plugins and give your explicit consent to forwarding your data. Only then your browser establishes a direct connection to the server of the third-party provider.

The content of the particular plugin or tool is then transmitted directly to your browser by the associated provider and integrated into the page. The Providers receive Information about your browser accessing the corresponding page when tools and plugins are integrated, even if you do not have a profile with the provider or are not logged in currently. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a server of the respective provider in the third country and stored there.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent in according with Art. 6(1) point (a), 7 GDPR in conjunction with Art. 49(1) point (a) GDPR.

Your consent is generally only valid for the respective page retrieval. If you also select the option "Always unblock external content" when giving your consent, this applies to all external content and permanently. To revoke the permanent consent, you must then revoke/delete the cookies set according to the respective functions of your browser.

If you do not want this data transfer to unsafe third countries, you must not give your consent in the two-click solution.

WEB FONTS FROM MONOTYPE IMAGING HOLDINGS INC. ("MONOTPYE")

Our website uses so-called web fonts (hello.myfonts.net), which are provided by Monotype Imaging Holdings Inc., 600 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, Massachusetts 01801 USA, for the uniform display of fonts. While loading a page of our website, the browser loads the required web fonts into the browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. The MONOTYPE fonts we use are stored locally on our server. This ensures that the IP addresses of visitors to our website aren’t transmitted directly to MONOTYPE.

MyFonts Counter

Our website uses MyFonts Counter, a web analytics service provided by MyFonts Inc, 500 Unicorn Park Drive, Woburn, MA 01801, USA. Based on the license terms, page view tracking is carried out by counting the number of visits to the website for statistical purposes and transmitting them to MyFonts. MyFonts only collects anonymized data (completely masked IP address). If necessary, the data is passed on by activating Java script code in your browser.

Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1) point (f) GDPR)

For more information about MyFonts Counter, please see MyFonts' privacy policy:

Privacy policy: https://www.myfonts.com/a/font/legal/website-use-privacy-policy

Privacy policy for tracking web fonts: https://www.monotype.com/de/rechtshinweise/datenschutzrichtlinie/datenschutzrichtlinie-zum-tracking-von-webschriften

To prevent the execution of Java Script code from MyFonts altogether, you can install a Java Script blocker (e.g. www.noscript.net).

Google Maps

This site uses the map service Google Maps via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This only takes place after activating the so-called "2-click solution" (see explanation above).

The use of Google Maps is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers and an easy location of the places indicated by us on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) point (f) GDPR. By giving your consent to the loading of the content, the legal basis is also Art. 6 (1) point (a) GDPR (consent), see also explanation above.

More information on the handling of user data can be found in Google's privacy policy: www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

YouTube

Our website uses plugins from the YouTube, which is operated by Google. The operator of the pages is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When you visit one of our pages equipped with a YouTube plugin, a connection to the YouTube servers is established. The YouTube server is informed of your IP address and which of our pages you have visited. This only takes place after activating the so-called "2-click solution" (see explanation above).

If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to associate your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube doesn’t store any information about visitors to this website (cookies) before they watch the video. However, the disclosure of data to YouTube partners isn’t necessarily excluded by the extended data protection mode. Thus, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network - regardless of whether you watch a video.

YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) point (f) GDPR. By giving your consent to the loading of the content, the legal basis is also Art. 6 (1) point (a) GDPR (consent), see also explanation above.

For more information on the handling of user data, please see YouTube's privacy policy at:
